Benjamin "Ben" Hope is a main character in the Netflix series Heartstopper. He is a student at Truham Grammar School for Boys. He is Charlie's ex-boyfriend.

Ben was born on December 1st, 2004. Ben and Charlie met in the music room while Charlie was drumming. ("Crush")
Season 1[]
Like all the other kids, Ben is struggling to understand his identity. The only problem is that he takes his insecurities out on others. Prior to Season 1, Ben hooked up with Charlie in secret while ignoring him in public. He is very rude to Charlie and does not seem to care for his fragile mental health, therefore, Charlie’s self-esteem and mental health suffered due to the hidden relationship. Despite Ben’s popularity, Charlie’s loved ones (including Nick) have a hard time forgiving his behavior.[1]
