Bradley Riches is actor who portrays the supporting role of James McEwan starting in a guest role in Season 1 and subsequently being upped to recurring in Season 2 of the Netflix Original series, Heartstopper.
Overview[]
Riches made a brief on-line appearance towards the end of "Boyfriend". Riches eventually confirmed that the character of James would go onto be explored more deeply in season 2, since in the graphic novels, he is only in one scene.[1] Riches also confirmed that he is autistic.[2] On December 14, 2024, Riches went onto say how since graduating in 2023 with a musical theatre degree at Hertfordshire drama school, the Emil Dale Academy,he has since appeared on the London stage in the musical Babies, ITV's Celebrity Big Brother, and made his panto debut as Peter Pan. Which all coincides with his dissertation paper on the challenges for neurodivergent performers.[3]
