Imogen has a very bold, determined personality, and can be a little insensitive sometimes. Ultimately, though, she just wants to live life to the fullest and be herself.

Imogen is childhood friends with Sahar, having known each other since they were children. However they stopped texting in Year 10 when Imogen got her first boyfriend. She is also childhood friends with Nick and Ben, the former she has known since Year 7 and the latter she's known since primary school. She frequently hangs out with the rugby lads, wanting to seem like the "cool girl."
Season 1[]
She asks Nick who he's texting, which he refuses to say, making her believe he's flirting with someone. ("Crush") Imogen overhears Harry inviting Nick to his birthday party and asks if he's going to invite her, which he says he will. In the locker room, the rugby lads talk about how Imogen has a crush on Nick. At the party, Imogen asks Nick to dance with her. He is reluctant since he is looking for Charlie, but he does so anyway. Imogen tells Nick she really likes him, which he is unsure how to respond to. ("Kiss")
Imogen continues to flirt with Nick, still unaware about him and Charlie. She asks Tara if she and Nick are a couple, which an annoyed Darcy refutes by saying she and Tara kissed. Imogen tells them she and Nick are "basically" together, much to Elle's shock. Imogen confirms one more time if Tara and Nick are a thing, to which Tara tells her that she is a lesbian. Imogen then says "I’m not, like, homophobic. I’m an ally." After a rugby game, Imogen asks Nick out on a date. Feeling pressured by the rest of the rugby lads, Nick reluctantly accepts, not knowing Tao and Elle are also watching. ("Secret")
Nick wants to tell Imogen he doesn't want to go on a date with her, but stops himself when she is crying about her dog's death. Later, Nick texts her that he can't do the date that day and he will explain everything tomorrow, since he is hanging out with Charlie and his friends. The next day, Nick meets with Imogen and brings Nellie to cheer her up about her dog's death. Nick tells her that he doesn't feel the same way and also how he doesn't feel like fits in with the rugby lads. Imogen is understanding and thanks him for being honest. When Harry asks about their date, she tells him and the group that they are just friends and jokingly says she can do way better. ("Friend") On Sports Day, Imogen smiles as Nick and Charlie walk off together during the rugby match. ("Boyfriend")
Season 2[]
Imogen shows Nick a picture of her new dog Brooklyn. She asks Nick if they are still friends, to which he says they are. She promises she doesn't have a crush on him anymore and even reveals that she has a crush on someone, but doesn't say who. She then tells Nick to tell her if he has any romantic developments. Nick wants to come out to Imogen, but is unable to. Charlie arranges a sleepover with the friend group and invites Imogen, wanting to help Nick to come out to her. Nick is still reluctant, but with some encouragement from his friends, he finally gains the courage to tell her. However, just as he is about to tell her, Imogen cuts him off and asks if its about him and Charlie because it’s so obvious. Nick tells her that he is bisexual and Imogen hugs him. He then tells her to reveal her crush and she tells him it is Ben, much to Nick's dismay. ("Out")
Imogen presumably confesses to Ben and the two become a couple. Nick tries to warn her about Ben, but she doesn't listen, since Ben is one of the few people who are nice to her. ("Family") At the Paris meeting, everyone is asked to get into groups of 4, but since boys and girls can't share rooms, Imogen is left out by Ben and his friends. ("Promise")
On the Paris trip, Ben treats Imogen poorly, constantly neglecting her and being jealous of Charlie. Imogen chooses to hang out with Nick's group over him. She rants about Ben to Nick and Elle, and when the latter asks if she evens like Ben back, she doesn't answer. She switches the subject and asks about Elle and Tao, which Elle immediately answer is not going to happen. Imogen advising her to be honest, so as to not regret it later. At dinner, as Ben tries to talk to Charlie and still ignores Imogen, She confronts him about his awful behavior and obsession with Charlie and breaks up with him. Ben is angered by the outburst and calls her a "bitch", but everyone sides with Imogen. Imogen excuses herself and Nick and Charlie check on her. The three of them share a hug together. ("Challenge")
Imogen starts to hang out with Nick's group regularly. She is partnered with Sahar for a vocab assignment. ("Heat") She hangs out at Tara's party. During the truth or dare game, Sahar reveals that Imogen got a boyfriend the year before and stopped texting her, though Imogen believes Sahar was the one who stopped texting. She gets annoyed when Charlie is dared to kiss Ben. ("Truth/Dare") Imogen and the group show up for Elle's art exhibition. She is surprised to see Sahar there and jokes to Tara and Darcy that they can't make fun of her for being the "token ally" anymore. However, Sahar reveals she is bisexual, much to her shock. ("Sorry") At prom, as Sahar is plays with the band onstage, Imogen stares and seems to be infatuated by her. ("Perfect")
Season 3[]
Imogen continues to hang out with Nick's group and seems to talk to Sahar the most. At the beach, Imogen has trouble carrying all her stuff and Sahar reminds her she did tell her to not bring so much. ("Love") Imogen shows up at the zoo with the rest of the group for Nick's birthday. Tara and Darcy notice the romantic tension between Imogen and Tara. After Isaac and Tao have a fight about Tao only caring about his relationship, Imogen tries to comfort him by talking about how she was obsessed with her previous boyfriends, though it doesn't help. Later, as Isaac talks about being the only one in the group not in a relationship, Imogen points out her and Sahar are in a relationship, to which Sahar points out no one said they were. ("Talk")
At the Halloween party, Imogen and Sahar make out, but Sahar gets upset when Imogen seems to not take it seriously. Later, Nick consoles Imogen who is throwing up after she drinks too much. She voices her frustration about Sahar being mad at her. ("Journey") Two months pass and Imogen and Sahar don't properly talk. During the New Year's party, Imogen and the group are excited to see Charlie back. Imogen stands next to Sahar before midnight and Sahar thinks she is going to kiss her. Imogen apologizes for Halloween. Sahar tells her she doesn't want to be an experiment and reveals that Imogen was the reason she realized she was bisexual in the first place, much to her shock. As the firework go off, Imogen and Sahar kiss. ("Winter")
At Charlie's birthday party, Imogen tells Nick that things between her and Sahar have been awkward. He tells her that she should talk to her about it. Imogen and Sahar talk in their tent and Imogen expresses her self-doubts and asks if Sahar hates her. She answers that she doesn't and the two agree they are better off as friends. Later, as the group talks about uni, Imogen says she is thinking about doing business or politics. ("Body") Imogen, Nick, Elle, and Tara head off to check the University of Kent. Imogen states she now wants to study international relations. Imogen and Nick share a room. She talks about how she doesn't think she actually had a crush on Nick, Ben, or any boy and mainly did it for attention from boys and feeling pressured to do so. Imogen questions who she is and Nick comforts her, saying that she is his friend. Later, as Nick is worried about making Charlie upset if he goes to a university far away, Imogen assures him that Charlie will support him and just wants him to be happy. The group runs late for Charlie and Sahar's band playing, but makes it as they are playing. The group spends the night having fun together. ("Apart")
