- On April 22, 2022, it was revealed that Colman filmed all her scenes for the series in two days.[1]
- Having worked with her previously, Euros Lyn reached out to Olivia Colman after Oseman expressing interest in a notable actress to portray Sarah, who accepted the offer. It was also noted that fans of the webcomic and graphic novel agreed Colman being suited for the series.[2]
- Lyn said that Colman's "instinctive" and "warm" character fits Sarah as Nick Nelson's mother.[3]
